Friday, April 3, 2020 The Corona classroom

Hello, Shine-on Parents and students,

I hope this post finds you all happy and healthy at home.  I have touched base with all of you now and am happy to hear that you are all eager to meet up in the coming week on Zoom.  First things first, one of the EAs will be contacting you personally or your parents to see how you are doing and show you how to use Zoom.  You can do some practice runs and then  by Thursday, April  9, we will get a chance to see each "virtually."

In the meantime, make sure you are getting outside and walking, or working in the yard or doing a workout.

It is important at these times to keep moving. If you are bored - here are some activities you might want to try.  Send me a video of you dancing, or with your Diy playdough or a picture of your fancy rocks.

Here is a fun art project:  Fancy Rocks

Step one:  go for a walk to the beach or along a trail or in your backyard and select some stones.

Step two: set up a work station with paints, paintbrushes, water, newspaper and the rocks

Step three: paint the alphabet on your rocks, or pictures, or even make them into Easter eggs.

Step Four:  Let dry and when they are done you can give them as gifts, use them yourself or lay them on a walking trail for someone else to find!

Here is also a nice make yourself playdough recipe to try with supplies you will probably have at home.

Enjoy your weekend!
