2. Expectations
Today, we began by telling stories. Then we discussed some of the
elements of a good story, such as, relatable subject, humour, engaging
story line and so forth. From there we discussed issues of stereotyping
and misconceptions and how these can be shared in the form of stories.
We discussed stereotypes both in the school and in society.
Visual Story Criteria: Tell me about yourself visually by using small sketches, different fonts, text boxes and as few words. The result should be balanced, complete, demonstrate at least four areas of interest, the text and the sketches should relate to each other. The center should be you or your name. Suggested areas: Values, School, Family, Travel, Hobbies, Music, Technology. We will have one full class and two half classes to complete these. After that it is on your own time.
Due date: September 18th: Remember if your assignment is two weeks late you will have to show me that you have met the learning outcomes by doing an additional paragraph telling me about yourself.
