2. Give me a Cinquain

A Cinquain is a 5-lined unrhymed poem with the following pattern. (It’s a little like hashtaging a photo)

·      Noun

·      Adjective, adjective

·      ing verb, ing verb, ing verb

·      four word statement

·      synonym or equivalent of line 1

Example:

The Necklace

Priceless, elegant

Borrowing, wearing, losing

I must borrow money

Materialism

Bruce Wayne

Troubled, angry

Fighting, flying, revenging

Still a nice guy

Batman

Your turn:

1.     Pick a character

2.     Brainstorm a list of adjectives  (more than you need)

3.     Brainstorm a list of present particles – ing verbs

4.     Brainstorm Synonyms

5.     Choose the best one

6.     Organize it properly

7.     Sit back, relax and enjoy the silent roar of learning.
